putting some loving in the kitchen

Monday, January 16, 2012

These loooooovely little red love heart Salvation Jane tea towels will be making their way to my kitchen very soon. Just in time for Valentines Day perhaps? Speaking of which, does Valentines Day rate as much of a day in your world? I've always found it a bit 'meh'. Never been interested in it. Just think it's one of those days that is designed to put the pressure on and make you feel like you are missing something, when there really is nothing to be missed at all....did that even make sense?

Anyway, since 2007, I've been even less interested in Valentines Day, because my first born was born the day before, on the 13 February. So now all my focus goes to my boy at that time of the year, the best possible Valentines Day gift there could ever be really!

What do you think about Valentines Day?

  1. I've never really been into Valentine's Day either - it doesn't really register on my radar to be honest.

  2. We've never been hugely into Valentine's Day either but I do think it's nice to do something special together though even though the whole thing has become very commercialised :) Love your new teatowel you've ordered, very cute indeed!! Have a great start to the week x

  3. I'm not against celebrating love or letting my loves know how much I adore them - but that mush shouldn't be confined to a single, prescribed (very commercial) day of the year.

I've known some very unsavoury men who even manage roses on Valentines Day. Never mind the horrendous 364 others.

    Enjoy your sweet tea towel.

  4. Yeah valentine's day is a bit irrelevant once you are married. It was exciting when I was single and hoped to get anonymous cards from imagined hotties but these days I don't really need hubby pouncing on me in a red g-string and a long stemmed red rose positioned provocatively...no seriously valentines' is a bit icky these days so don't care if I don't get anything

Those tea towels are on the way to you as we speak!
    Thanks so much for ordering!
As for Valentines Day, I know it's commercial clap trap, but I'm a die hard romantic, so I'm always hoping for a Valentine.
