my new art collection

With my little three year old a preschooler now, I've become one of those mums who collects delightful little artworks each week. I've been pondering what to do with them. Each week when Josh gets home from preschool I've been taking these little artistic impressions and pegging them on our fridge. I'm sure the 'good' stuff is staying at school and being collated in his journal that we have heard about. However, not sure I have the heart to part with the pieces that make it home yet. I bought one of these delightful little Fiona Kate artwork folders today where I will put them away for now and decide later their fate.

I heard a fabulous idea the other day that you can use them as wrapping paper. I think this is a great idea! Especially since it fits right in with my little goal for this year to try may hand at more creatively wrapping my gifts for others.

What do you do with your little one's masterpieces?

  1. Wow, what stylish folders they are. BuBba's still a bit too little for artworks but I'm going to bookmark Fiona Kate for sure. Thanks for the link. :)

  2. Thanks for the link.

I'd seen those big boxes in a mag before but couldn't remember the name.

These files are a great idea.

  3. We use ours as wrapping paper! People love it and Jack very proudly tells them that it's HIS painting :)
I do keep some though. He has 3 in frames on the wall in his room

  4. Hi- to be honest, I use the ones I don't love as wrapping paper- by this I mean the ones my cherub does in two seconds and is onto the next thing. The paintings and craft she did in a toddler art class (last year) I stored in a large cardboard gift box (bought from a $2 type shop), but this year of kinder I put everything into a large gift bag to collate into something at the end of the year.
