No chocolate in the house

What does a mother do when there is no chocolate/comfort food in the house, it's too much effort to get out of the unit with 2 small children, down 2 flights of stairs, into the car and to the supermarket to buy some?

Raid the two-year-olds tiny teddies to have with her afternoon coffee.....mmmmm!

Finally....she rolls!!

In other breaking news today, at 7 months and 3 weeks, Zoe finally manages to roll from back to front all by herself......and I missed it!! I put her down on her mat for a while to play while I attended to a few work things, and lo and behold when I returned to her she was on her tummy!! Go Zoe! Now, I just want to witness the event myself.



She can already roll from front to back. That was the easy direction. So I'm very proud of today's efforts. Now crawling, here we come!

Big boy bed....

I've been thinking non-stop about Josh transitioning to a single bed some time soon. I have decided that once we move into our new house that I will start him off in the bed then. I'm hoping that will be ok for him (besides, Zoe will need his cot very soon!). He usually loves going to bed so I'm hoping that moving to a bed won't be too troublesome for us all.

I have been looking for a while for some nice bed sheets for his new bed, and today while at Myer decided to get him this car themed Sheridan set as it was 30% off. He is car-obssessed at the moment - he has about a gazillion of those Matchbox/Hot Wheels type cars and insists on going to bed with a few of them each night. I'm guessing he will like his new bed and so not have a problem sleeping in it!





I bought him the quilt cover, pillow case and decorative wheel pillow in the first picture and the sheet set in the blue gingham in the second picture.

Hope he LOVES it!

The cheeky two

Just thought I would share this very cute pic of my cheeky two.....Josh's latest thing is for me to put Zoe in his bed and for them to lie down together and pretend to go to sleep. He just LOVES having her in his bed. It's the sweetest thing to watch. He puts his head down on the pillow next to her and makes these loving and contented noises while sucking on his beloved dummy. I hope he always is this loving to his little sis.
